Duncan Hospital is a part of the Emmanuel Hospital Association and was started in 1930 in Bihar to serve the border areas of India and Nepal. The 200 bed hospital, nursing college, staff and student housing, and some training facilities are part of the 10 acre campus. The masterplan which was proposed also includes reliance strategies against flooding, as the site is severely affected by monsoon rains each year. A new nursing college building will meet the need to upgrade and expand the nursing college programme.
